European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC)

A Cultural Route highlighting the cultural values, heritage and legacy of Saint Paul’s missions to Europe, 
to honour Saint Paul, as the Apostle of the nations, through his epistles and intangible heritage in literature, arts, history, philosophy, theology and Christianity in Europe, 
towards regenerating the European ideals, with sustainable cultural tourism development and promotion along the route in several countries, regions, cities, islands, local communities and tourist destinations


1st annual Conference held on

ECTN organised the 1st Conference as a founding member of the respective European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC), established in the frame of: Cult-RInG Interreg Europe project 'Cultural Routes as Investment for Growth and Jobs'. The Conference was held online on 15 December 2020 in close cooperation with partners:


- Region of Central Macedonia, Greece
- Lazio Region, Italy
- Pafos Regional Board of Tourism, Cyprus.


Presentations included by Via Francigena Cultural Route of the Council of Europe, ECTN and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Theology Department.

2nd annual Conference held in

in Thessaloniki, Greece,

on 2 December 2021

The 2nd annual Conference was held as a regional event in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 2 December 2021, organised by the EGTC predidency Region of Central Macedonia. The event was held at the Museum of Byzantine Culture of Thessaloniki, a point of reference of the Cultural Route. Presentations were by the EGTC, Ministry of Culture, RCM Tourism Department, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Union of Guides. Representatives of several Municipalities, Universities and cultural organisations participated.
